Our client is a global manufacturer of power solutions for semiconductor equipment, industrial and healthcare markets. It is opening a new manufacturing plant in Seri Iskandar, Perak, and building its team quickly, with a rare chance to help set up a site from the start.
About the Role
You will lead the transfer of products from the company's Vietnam plant into Malaysia, followed by transfers from its US and UK sites. This role is central to the plant's success and reports to the Plant General Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead product transfer projects end to end against an accelerated timeline
- Review transfer packages (work instructions, drawings, process flows) for completeness and manufacturability, and close gaps with the sending site
- Drive equipment, process and manufacturing readiness for each new product
- Work closely with R&D and NPI engineering, moving into customer-facing work as the site grows
- Lead and develop 1–2 project engineers
Key Requirements
- Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- Product transfer or NPI experience in electronics manufacturing
- Hands-on knowledge of PCBA, box build, cable assembly and final test
- Power supply experience highly valued; semiconductor or EMS backgrounds are a strong fit
- PMP or IPC certification is a plus
- Willing to travel, including 1–2 weeks in Vietnam in the first month
