Planning Manager

Our client is looking for an experienced Planning Manager to join a leading industrial construction organisation in Penang.

This role will be responsible for overseeing project planning and scheduling activities, monitoring project progress, coordinating with construction teams and stakeholders, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within schedule.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• Develop and maintain project schedules for engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
• Monitor project progress and prepare regular management reports.
• Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery.
• Identify schedule risks and propose mitigation or recovery plans.
• Manage resource planning and allocation across project activities.
• Lead and guide the planning team to ensure effective project execution.

 

Key Requirements

 

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in project planning and scheduling within industrial construction projects.
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary construction projects.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Prior experience leading planning teams will be an advantage.
• Willing to be based in Penang
