Electrical Engineer

About the Role

 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Project Engineer to lead and manage complex engineering projects within the automation manufacturing sector. In this role, you will take ownership of project execution from planning through to delivery ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, manage resources, mitigate risks, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• Project Planning: Update and manage project schedules with accurate data to support resource planning and factory capacity utilisation.
• Resource Management: Lead and motivate cross-functional teams to meet delivery timelines, optimise cost efficiency, and adhere to customer specifications. Manage change orders and deviations effectively.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimise disruptions. Conduct risk assessments and implement contingency plans.
• Communication: Provide regular feedback on workflow issues to improve efficiency and productivity. Prepare and present improvement reports.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor project activities to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Conduct inspections, tests, and audits as needed.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including technical drawings, reports, change orders, and correspondence.

 

Key Requirements

 

• Education: Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of project management experience, ideally within the automation manufacturing sector.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Personality: Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a drive to succeed as part of a high-functioning team.
• Environment: Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment — managing multiple priorities independently and collaboratively.
• Travel: Willingness to travel extensively for international or cross-border projects.
